Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service Program Officer for Employer Engagement in Baltimore, Michigan

Reporting to the Senior Program Officer for Employer Engagement, Global Refuge's Program Officer for Employer Engagement will be responsible for supporting affiliate and partner agencies around the expansion of employer relationships. The Program Officer interacts primarily with Resettlement and Integration Services, Business Development, the Global Refuge resettlement affiliate partner network, and corporations who have expressed commitment to hiring refugees at the national level. S/He provides critical training and support functions for field staff to engage employers and place clients in meaningful employment. Expand employer engagement initiatives and create evidence of improved access to advancement opportunities and inclusive workplaces.

This position can be remote with trips to Baltimore as needed.

DUTIES

Work closely with the team to provide program support through regular contact with affiliate staff who implement employment programming locally.

Assist in the development of resource materials, facilitating peer support, preparing service manuals, and planning and implementing training sessions for local partners.

Coordinates, promotes, and implements of strategies to grow the number of Global Refuge Partners participating in employer partnerships.

Develop training, education, advocacy, and evaluation materials for employment and economic empowerment staff to utilize locally.

Maintains, trains, and updates the materials, including handbooks, tools, and resources on employer engagement strategies.

Supports the team in designing, organizing, and implementing semi-annual training for the network and provides supplemental training and e-learning sessions.
