Inquiry for Biomanufacturing Associate Opportunities - Baltimore/DC Area (Biotech, Pharmaceutical & Medical Device Industries)

We are actively seeking qualified candidates for Biomanufacturing Associate positions in the Baltimore/DC area , within the Biotech, Pharmaceutical, and Medical Device industries . These roles range from entry-level to senior-level , providing a unique opportunity to work with innovative technologies in the production of life-saving therapies and medical products. Ideal candidates will have a strong interest in biomanufacturing processes, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the production and manufacturing of biological, pharmaceutical, or medical device products in a cGMP-compliant environment.

  • Operate and maintain bioreactors, fermenters, filtration systems, and other biomanufacturing equipment.

  • Prepare and sterilize media, buffers, and reagents for production runs.

  • Perform routine in-process testing and quality control measures to ensure adherence to specifications and regulatory standards.

  • Document manufacturing processes and results accurately in batch records and electronic systems.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues with equipment and processes to ensure minimal downtime.

  • Support scale-up efforts and process optimization in collaboration with engineering and R&D teams.

  • Follow safety protocols, regulatory guidelines, and quality assurance procedures to ensure the production of high-quality products.

Qualifications:

  • Entry-Level: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field. Familiarity with laboratory practices, biomanufacturing equipment, and good manufacturing practices (GMP) is beneficial.

  • Mid-Level: 2+ years of experience in biomanufacturing, biotechnology, or a related field. Hands-on experience with manufacturing equipment and quality control procedures is preferred.

  • Senior-Level: 5+ years of experience in biomanufacturing with expertise in upstream and downstream processing, process optimization, troubleshooting, and team leadership. Strong understanding of cGMP and regulatory compliance in biotech, pharmaceutical, or medical device manufacturing.

Preferred Skills:

  • Proficiency in biomanufacturing techniques such as operating bioreactors, filtration systems, chromatography, and sterile processing.

  • Strong knowledge of industry regulations (FDA, cGMP, ISO) and quality assurance processes.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Experience with documentation practices and electronic batch records.

  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
