We are currently seeking a Dental Biller in Bakersfield, CA!You will be responsible for handling the billing and financial aspects of a dental practice. The primary role is to ensure accurate and timely processing of patient billing, insurance claims, and payments. They work closely with patients, insurance companies, and other staff members to facilities smooth and efficient financial transactions withing their practices.

Monday-Friday

Pay Rate: $25.00-$30.00/HR

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Reviewing and verifying patient insurance information and eligibility
• Creating and submitting insurance claims for dental procedures performed
• Following up on outstanding insurance claims and denials to ensure timely payment
• Processing patient payments including deductibles and outstanding balances
• Answering patient inquiries regarding billing records and financial reports
• Collaborating with dental providers and staff to ensure accurate coding and documentation for billing purposes
• Staying current on insurance regulations coding guidelines and billing best practices

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in medical billing or healthcare administration is preferred.
• Previous experience in dental billing, medical billing, or a related field.
• Knowledge of dental insurance plans, billing codes (CPT, ICD-10, etc.), and claims processing.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Proficiency with billing software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Departmental policies and procedures.
• Correspondence and report writing practices and procedures
• Modern office practice, procedures, and equipment, including computers
• Record-keeping and report writing techniques
• Current problems of socially and economically challenged families
• The contributions of parents and volunteers who may be non-professional
• Word processing, spreadsheet, database, and other related software applications
• Organizational and procedure principles and research techniques
• Basic budgetary principles
