Summary About the position: This position is located at the Community Center. This is a NAF (Non-Appropriated Fund) position assigned to the 31st Force Support Squadron at Aviano AB, Italy. Scheduled tour of duty will require evenings, weekends, and holiday work hours. Responsibilities Maintaining various suspense files, regulations, directives, inventory control files and posting changes as required. Assists in compiling correspondences, reports, forms, and other related material. Prepares various reports and other statistical and financial data pertaining to the activity. Provides information regarding operations to the manager. Answers telephone, receives visitors, provides requested information, pick up and distribute office mail and correspondence. Performs cash management and accountability duties. Completes appropriate NAF reports summarizing previous day's business transactions, and deposits daily cash receipts. Maintains time and attendance cards/records. Performs other related duties as required. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Applicant must have experience in responsible clerical or office work in which the applicant has demonstrated the ability to perform satisfactorily at the grade level of this position. Typing skill is desirable. General knowledge in Microsoft Office business software programs is desirable. Experience which has demonstrated arithmetic aptitude and ability, accuracy and attention to detail; progressively responsible experience in the receipt, disbursement, examination, deposit, custody, or other processing of cash and cash items. Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution in order to qualify. Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. or U.S. Territory for three (3) or more consecutive years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation. All Federal NAF employees are required by PL 104-134 to have salary payments made by electronic funds transfer/direct deposit. Probationary period may be required.
