Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our Agile team and contribute to delivering high-quality software solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in test automation using Java and Selenium, hands-on experience with API testing, and proficiency in SQL and automation frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Java, Selenium, TestNG, and REST Assured.
Implement test automation frameworks for web, API, and mobile applications (using Selenium, Appium, etc.).
Perform API testing (manual & automation) and create robust test cases for RESTful services.
Write complex SQL queries to validate data integrity across different databases (Sybase, MySQL, etc.).
Work closely with developers and business analysts in an Agile/Scrum environment to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Create and maintain data-driven test scenarios to support test plans and cases.
Analyze test results, identify defects, and advocate for software quality at every stage of development.
Track and document defects using bug tracking tools and ensure resolution within SLA.
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines by integrating automated tests into Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or other DevOps tools.
Utilize Postman, git, Maven, and similar tools to improve testing efficiency.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices in QA automation and DevOps.
Provide production support (once or twice a month on weekends during night shifts) when required.
Required Skills
4+ years of experience as an SDET or QA Engineer with expertise in automation testing.
Strong hands-on experience with Java, Selenium, TestNG, and REST Assured.
Solid understanding of automation frameworks (Data-Driven, Keyword-Driven, Hybrid, BDD, etc.).
Experience with API testing tools like Postman, REST Assured, and Swagger.
Strong SQL skills, including writing complex queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
Familiarity with DevOps concepts and experience in test automation in CI/CD pipelines.
Hands-on experience with git, Maven, Jenkins, and other version control/build tools.
Knowledge of AWS services related to testing and automation (good to have).
Experience in Capital Markets & Wealth Management domain is a plus.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative Agile environment.
Willingness to provide production support during occasional night shifts.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Appium for mobile test automation.
Knowledge of cloud-based testing platforms (Sauce Labs, BrowserStack, etc.).
Exposure to performance testing using JMeter or Gatling.
