The team and the role
The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) organization supports our business, market and enabling area leaders by providing world class financial support. FP&A is made up of advisors who are influential in decision-making and partner with finance leaders to drive meaningful strategic and financial outcomes.
Within FP&A, the Strategic Analytics (SA) team integrates big data analytics, strategic thinking, and deep firm knowledge to provide leadership with insights to drive informed decision-making and enable continued growth. The team partners with business and operational leaders to provide an impact by leveraging data and analytical tools, strategic thinking and hypothesis-based analysis. Specific responsibilities and qualifications for the Analyst role are outlined below.
Work you'll do
Core responsibilities
Apply strategic thinking and hypothesis-based consulting to frame complex questions into analytical problems and provide meaningful insights
Support Finance and firm leadership with ad-hoc specialized analyses
Support large, complex engagements for FP&A and Finance leaders to transform the organization, with a focus on forward-looking operations and change management
Transform data into useful information tailored to leadership needs through storyboarding and data visualization
Structure modeling efforts that underpin strategic recommendations
Support key stakeholder groups to build cross-functional relationships across the organization
Other responsibilities
Track project progress through milestones and metrics
Develop executive level presentations to communicate insights from analytics
Build supporting materials that assist leaders and stakeholders in the decision-making process
Support leaders in strategic activities and engage in stretch opportunities aligned with professional development goals and strengths
Qualifications
Required:
Senior status (Spring 2025 expected graduation date) enrolled in a full-time academic program in one of these related majors: Data Science, Data Analytics, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Management
Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Data Analytics, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Management, or a related area
Demonstrated knowledge in the following areas:
Financial reporting and analysis
Data analysis, management, and visualization
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
Ability to travel 0-10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
The start date for this position will be in 2025
Preferred:
Experience with Tableau
Experience with Python
Strong academic track record (minimum GPA of 3.2 preferred)
