Job Description:
The Client team is looking for a Software Development Engineer to remediate accessibility compliance issues. Your solutions will affect our customers directly! Primary responsibilities include analysis of existing accessibility tickets, identify solutions which will apply to the future versions of Homepage, identify a gap in mechanisms for web accessibility compliance and identify solutions/mechanisms to enforce compliance. Responsibility also includes creating a remediation plan to resolve accessibility tickets and providing a status report at a fixed cadence on the progress of the plan to the leadership.
The ideal candidate is someone who wants to pursue a career in software development, eager to enhance their coding skills and gain experience with diverse software applications. The qualifications for this role involve attention to detail, strong communication skills, organizational abilities, independent work capabilities, and maintaining professionalism under pressure. Preferred coding skills: Java, typescript, html, .css, JavaScript, and W3C accessibility compliance experience. A Computer Science or equivalent technical degree and 2-5 years of relevant experience is required.
