Job Description

Omni Hotels & Resorts is seeking Fitness Desk Attendant | Part Time for the beautiful new Barton Creek Resort & Spa!

As a Fitness Desk Attendant, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and administrative support within our fitness center. You will assist members and guests with inquiries, oversee facility cleanliness and organization, and ensure a welcoming atmosphere conducive to a positive fitness experience.

Responsibilities

  • Know and greet members by name.

  • Registering member/guests by last name first, first name last and always get proper billing information, requests and gender preference.

  • Maintain cleanliness of fitness desk, locker room and wet areas throughout am and pm shifts.

  • Assist in keeping all Fitness/Tennis storage space clean and organized.

  • Review communication log book at the start of each shift. Record information regarding member/guest issues, housekeeping, engineering, pools, hot tubs and steam rooms to shift supervisor/manager.

  • Complete and initial all opening and closing checklist and turn into shift supervisor/manager.

  • Know current hours of operation for the following areas: Fitness, Spa Salon, Kid's Club, Spa Shop, Coffee Market, Aquatics, Tennis and Pool Cabana.

Qualifications

  • 6 months experience and training in similar position in the hotel/resort/guest service industry.

  • Helpful to have some computer experience as well as MICROS experience.

  • Must have excellent phone skills.

  • The Associate is often required to stand, walk, climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

  • Must be able to lift and move moderate weights.

  • Availability required for AM shifts Monday through Friday.

  • Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate both verbally and in writing in English with guests, members, management and co-workers, both in person and by telephone is preferred.
