The networking effort for this is a demanding task that requires a full-time network engineer to conduct regular scans, patches, and testing and adhere to the constant new requirements imposed by the government agencies with whom we work (DISA). The latest is the new C2C (Comply to Connect) requirement (NSA Zero Trust Connection Requirement). It is a security framework that requires the implementation of Cisco ISE, IDS/IPS, next-generation firewalls, and other new networking tools.

Duties will include, but are not limited to the following:

  • SIPR networking deployment experience

  • Configure, Manage, and Upgrade existing Cisco Network hardware and software, such as Cisco switches, routers, ASAs, and type 1 Encryption devices.

  • Ensure compliance with security and performance requirements (NISPOM, RMF, NIST, etc.)

  • Assure a high level of reliability and performance through systems monitoring and infrastructure management.

  • Familiar with ASA and FPR firewalls, must have experience with ASDM.

The candidate’s work will be performed under minimal general direction. The candidate will frequently interact with inter-organizational contacts representing the Digital Technology Program Execution organization in the support of our engineering end-user community.
