Job Summary:
Key Responsibilities:
Budgeting:
Assists in the development and set-up of the Fitness Center annual budget.
Develops service center, cost study budget forecasts.
Service Center Administration:
Prepares, reviews, and enters monthly journal entries for revenue capture as needed.
Produces monthly budget-to-actual financial reports for administered Service Centers.
Payroll & Personnel:
Manages payroll administration and maintenance of proper funding distributions for employee salaries.
Compiles Fitness Center payroll backup documentation from the Fitness Center's point-of-sale system, Club Automation, for personal training and massage sessions.
Financial Management:
Reconciles revenue posted to Club Automation, the Fitness Center's point-of-sale software, to the university's financial system general ledger on a weekly basis.
Manages earned and deferred revenue accounts, reconciling each month with service sessions purchased and redeemed.
Data Analysis:
Prepares weekly and month-end Fitness Center sales status reports.
Develops ad hoc reports and financial models, as needed.
Financial Analysis & Compliance:
Collaborates in the development of financial and statistical reports for presentation to the Center's Leadership Team.
Manages PCI-DSS credit card security compliance.

Minimum Qualifications:
Intermediate Level:
- A bachelor's degree in business administration, business, finance, accounting, or a directly related field from an accredited institution and one (1) year of professional-level experience in finance and/or payroll.
Senior Level:
- A bachelor's degree in business administration, business, finance, accounting, or a directly related field from an accredited institution and two (2) years of professional-level experience in finance and/or payroll.

Preferred Qualifications:
Proficient computer skills and experience with various software programs such as MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and Teams.
Experience working with HCM, Finance, CU Data, Concur, CU Marketplace, and InfoEd.
Experience with financial forecasting and budget analysis.
3-5 years of progressively responsible experience in administration or financial management.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Working knowledge of basic concepts, principles, and theories of accounting and management; with the ability to understand the accounting and managerial policies applicable to the University of Colorado.
Ability to translate complex ideas into clear, easy-to-understand concepts.
Deliver quality work on time and within budgetary guidelines.
Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills; strong initiative and innovation.
Superior productivity and attention to detail.
Critical reasoning skills including financial analysis.
Experience with technology, including the Internet and PeopleSoft, as well as proficiency with Microsoft desktop applications including advanced Excel knowledge.
Strong technical skills, which include the ability to work with Microsoft software, programs, and applications (primarily Excel, and Teams); willingness to learn new systems is essential.)
