The Multi-domain Solutions Division (MDS) within the Leidos National Security Sector is seeking a skilled Configuration Manager to join a new cyber security program and play a key role in supporting government-critical systems. You will be part of a program that oversees development, integration, delivery, and operations and maintenance of IT managed security services, which encompasses support to monitor the cybersecurity threat and security posture situational awareness for the enterprise. This opportunity is in anticipation of a future contract award!
What you’ll be doing:
Oversee the configuration management processes, documentation, and change controls essential to ensuring the reliability, security, and compliance of vital government operations.
Collaborate with talented professionals, master intricate systems, and have a direct hand in ensuring operational success.
Develop, implement, and maintain configuration management plans, policies, and procedures to ensure system consistency and compliance.
Manage the evaluation, approval, and documentation of changes to systems, applications, and infrastructure.
Lead configuration control boards (CCBs) to review and prioritize system updates.
Establish and maintain a version control system to track configuration changes and ensure rollback capabilities when needed.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of configuration settings, baselines, and system components.
Ensure baselines are established, tracked, and monitored for system reliability and compliance.
Work closely with engineering, development, and operations teams to integrate configuration management processes into the software development lifecycle (SDLC) or system engineering lifecycle.
Ensure all systems meet organizational, industry, and regulatory standards for configuration and change management.
Provide data and reports to support internal and external audits.
Implement and manage configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Git, or ServiceNow).
Drive automation initiatives to streamline configuration management processes.
Regularly monitor configuration data and system performance to identify inconsistencies or risks.
Generate detailed reports on configuration status, changes, and compliance metrics.
Identify and address configuration-related issues, ensuring minimal disruption to systems and operations.
Develop risk management strategies for configuration changes.
Educate team members and stakeholders on configuration management best practices and tools.
What does Leidos need from me?
Active Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI) with Polygraph security clearance required. Must be U.S. Citizen.
Bachelor's degree and 4 to 8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with less than 2 to 6 years of prior relevant experience. Experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Favorable if you have:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience working with mission-critical or government systems, especially in regulated environments.
Expertise with configuration management tools such as ServiceNow or similar systems.
Knowledge or IT or certifications in service management frameworks such as ITIL or DevOps.
Project Management certifications (PMP, PRINCE2).
Security certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or CISSP.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $72,150.00 - $130,425.00
