We are seeking a dynamic professional to serve as a Human Resources Manager within the Security and Employment Service Center (SESC). In this role, you'll collaborate with agencies like the Department of Labor, Department of Public Safety, Department of Professional and Financial Regulations, Department of Defense, Veterans’ and Emergency Management, and the Permanent Commission on the Status of Racial, Indigenous and Tribal Populations providing essential Human Resources support in a unionized, public service environment. As a Human Resources Manager with the SESC, you will use critical thinking, creativity, positivity, and best practices to assist our agency in all human resources matters.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to providing high level human resources support to agency management including labor relations, investigations, employee performance management and related human resources functions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

In order to qualify, you must have professional level experience in human resources management. Preference may be given to candidates with significant experience in human resources and labor relations. Peference will also be given to candiates who submit both a cover letter and a resume.

The background of well-qualified candidates will demonstrate the following competencies:

  • Demonstrated ability and experience in providing a broad range of HR-related support and training to managers and supervisors, and sound decision making.

  • A successful history of providing exceptional customer service and partnering with agencies in providing meaningful HR services with an emphasis on being innovative.

  • Knowledge of and prior experience working with bargaining unit contracts and merit systems principles.

  • A demonstrated ability of working in a fast-paced team-based environment with proficiency in meeting shifting priorities.
