Job Description:

The Role: Dietetic Technician

Under the supervision of a Registered Licensed Clinical Dietitian, this position assists patients with menu selection and reviews menu in connection with physician-ordered diet parameters.

The Opportunity:

The Work:

  • Utilizes appropriate technique to assist patients to make menu selections that comply with their dietary requirements/restrictions.

  • Performs nutritional screening, implementing & monitoring in alignment with patient care plans. Collects and processes regular and modified menus.

  • Evaluates and examines food intake, quality, and accuracy. Completes nutrition documentation in accordance with applicable rules and regulations.

  • Conducts patient/guest satisfaction initiatives by collecting patient/guest satisfaction comments and complaints. Resolves, refers, and/or reports service quality issues as appropriate.

    You Have:

  • Strong customer service skills

  • Maine State Licensure as a Dietetic Technician (DT) required

  • Registered as a Dietetic Technician (DTR) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) required

  • Strong oral communication skills

  • Proficiency in a suite of Microsoft Office applications
