Kuehne+Nagel Sea Logistics - Operational Care Specialist in Auckland, New Zealand
Cooltainer is a specialist division of Kuehne+Nagel; providing temperature controlled perishable commodities throughout New Zealand, Australia and the Pacific Islands.
Our Auckland based Cooltainer Team have an opportunity for an experienced individual to join the team as an Operational Care Specialist, on a 9-month fixed term contract to cover a period of parental leave.
Your Role
Based in Auckland within a tight-knit team of three people, you will be required to handle export and import shipments, the related documentation and provide customer service for a variety of perishable customers.
Your Responsibilities
Export& Import operations across various trade lanes
Customerservice excellence – one on one interaction with clients
Arrange bookings directly with transportcompanies, and liaise with carriers and suppliers
Ensuringthat all timely documentation is completed as per company processes, customer& regulatory requirements
Liaisingwith various external parties – shipping lines, NZ customs and overseasoffices/agents
Your Skills and Experiences
Previousexperience and understanding of International Shipping and Freight processes
Abilityto effectively manage your time, especially when under pressure and with a busyworkload
Excellentcommunication skills both written and verbal
Abilityto think outside the square and solve problems
Asense of initiative and drive to follow tasks through to completion
Abilityto build relationships with all stakeholders
Priordirect responsibility for delivering exceptional customer experience
Previousexperience in a customer facing role highly advantageous
