ManpowerGroup Field Service Technician in Auburn, Massachusetts

Exciting Opportunity for Industrial Maintenance Technician - looking to be in the field and service advanced manufacturing clients.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional with a strong background in industrial manufacturing, particularly in the fields of electrical and mechanical troubleshooting. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy working with your hands, and have excellent customer service skills, we want to hear from you!

-$30/hr +/- depending on experience, competitive benefits, tools and company care provided.

-Ability to travel throughout the New England Area, with up to 20-40% overnight travel to manufacturing customers, but be home majority of the time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and repair industrial machinery, including hydraulics, pressure systems, pneumatics, gear boxes, and low voltage electrical systems

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance and identify potential issues before they become major problems

  • Assemble, install, and repair wiring, electrical, and electronic components using hand-held and powered tools

  • Utilize multimeters, volt meters, and precision measuring instruments to diagnose and correct issues

  • Work with a variety of voltages, including 120V, 240V, and 480V

  • Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, piping, and hydraulic systems

  • Repair or replace defective parts using hand and powered tools

  • Complete service forms to identify, work, and repair parts

  • Diagnose and correct issues using blueprints and repair manuals

  • Follow checklists to inspect and perform maintenance

  • Make solutions, decisions, and solve problems on machinery

  • Read, study, and discuss processes related to all company products

  • Start-up new machines, operate, and educate customers on their operation

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in industrial manufacturing, preferably as a technician or mechanic

  • Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude, with experience in troubleshooting hydraulics, pressure systems, pneumatics, and low voltage electrical systems

  • Familiarity with plastics or injection mold experience is a plus, but any industrial machinery experience translates well

  • Ability to travel regularly, with up to 20-40% overnight travel to manufacturing customers

  • Strong customer service and communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment
