THE POSITION

Sr. Software Engineer, Continental Automotive Systems, Inc., Auburn Hills, MI:

Write firmware code using C and assembly language to create modules and Software solutions for Automotive firmware electronic devices, in particular device drivers like EEPROM controllers, ADC controllers, Controller Area Network drivers, Automotive Ethernet communication, UDS Diagnostics. Debug issues using electronic devices like emulators, simulators, Oscilloscopes, Logic Analyzers, Multimeters and CAN traffic analyzers. Support customer on-site using a vehicle to extract logs, create debug images and perform a root cause analysis. Create Software Design documents, support code reviews, and design, automate and execute test cases that cover safety and non-safety requirements. Configure and generate code using EB Tressos or DaVinci for classic AUTOSAR projects. Write code classified as ASIL-A to ASIL-B as defined in the ISO 26262. Integrate ARXLs and UDS diagnostic databases into an AUTOSAR project. Integrate and configure AUTOSAR components using AUTOSAR Builder, DaVinci and Tressos.

Full time employment, telecommuting permitted up to 40%. Monday -- Friday, 40 hours per week.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Software Engineering or a related field, and 2 years of related work experience.

Must have 2 years of experience in each of the following:

  • Coding in C and assembly language for Microcontrollers and embedded systems;
  • Following MISRA guidelines;
  • Generating and configuring AUTOSAR components;
  • Creating and adapting automotive device drivers and complex drivers including NVM handlers, Controlled Area Network drivers, mailboxes, queues, ADCs, PWMs, EEPROM, or Digital I/Os;
  • Creating Controlled Area Network messages, decoding information from Controlled Area Network and Network Management messages;
  • Implementing DIDs and DTCs based on UDS standard (ISO 14229-1:2020 - Road vehicles --- Unified diagnostic); and
  • Developing Electronic Unit Devices for automotive products.

Must have 1 year of experience using Controlled Area Network analyzers, including CANoe, Intrepid or similar for the Automotive industry, for debugging purposes.

 

International travel required up to 10%. Domestic travel required up to 10%.
