We have an opportunity for an Accounting Rep at our Auburn, CA/Vian Enterprises site. This is a contract to hire position.

Job Summary:

The Accounting Repcalculates,posts, verifies, and reconcilesfinancial data for use inmaintainingaccounting records.

Essential Functions:

  • Performmaintenance of the general ledger

  • Preparevarious accounting statements

  • Prepare various financial reports

  • Prepare bi-weekly payroll

  • Responsible for accountspayable or receivable functions

  • Reconcile accounts payable subledger and resolve any discrepancies

  • Communicate with vendors regarding invoice and payment inquiries

  • Relyon instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job

  • Workunder general supervision

  • Mustcomply withcompany policies and procedures, as wellas federal & state regulations

  • Any other task assigned by supervisor or management

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Experience:5+years of experience inAccountingor related arearequired

  • Knowledge:Understanding ofbookkeeping procedures required;Must have knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field ofaccounting

  • Skills/Abilities:Ability toestablishand maintain effective working relationships with internal staff and outside professionals; Ability to express self orally and in writing to prepare comprehensive analyses,recommendationsand reports;Good PC skills, including solid knowledgeof Microsoft Excel isrequired;A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected

  • Education/Certification:Two-year degree inAccountingor related fieldrequired. Equivalent work experience may besubstituted fordegree requirement

  • Eligibility Requirement: This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information. Where the position requires such access only US Persons will be considered. As a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience with Sage Accounts Payable is desired

Salary range: $28.23 to $35.62. Several factors contribute to actual salary, including experience in a similar role or performing comparable job responsibilities, skills, training, and other qualifications. Some roles may be eligible for participation in performance-based bonus programs.
