Inspire Brands Staff Accountant - Corporate Cash in Atlanta, Georgia
This role will work closely with other departments and team members to support the Corporate Cash function in its effort to be a strong business partner to all stakeholders, contribute to the achievement of Company and department goals and support process improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will complete a variety of tasks including journal entries preparation and entry, reconciliations and liaise with other departments.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Review and match cash transactions on a daily basis using TRECS software.
Evaluate account balances and reconcile assigned accounts, ensuring unmatched and unreconciled items are investigated and resolved in a timely manner.
Prepare journal entries and undertake other steps required to ensure a timely Close.
Provide support to internal and external stakeholders as required.
Support month-end and year-end close process.
Maintain internal controls in performance of assigned duties, ensuring accuracy and reliability of financial information and compliance with company policies and procedures and Sarbanes Oxley requirements.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:
4-year degree in Accounting
Education requirements met to sit for CPA exams.
1-2 years accounting experience.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, or ABILITIES:
Strong command of accounting principles and procedures necessary to maintain accounts in accordance with US GAAP and ability to apply that knowledge to real-life situations.
Flexible, hands-on, self-starter with strong initiative and work ethic.
Capacity to ask questions and acquire knowledge from guidance and team discussions.
Ability to multi-task and a tolerance for dynamic set of tasks and priorities.
Team player with an appropriate sense of urgency and ownership to meet deadlines.
Proficient in Excel (e.g., pivot tables, lookups, etc.)
