Home Depot Sr. Analyst Commercial Credit in Atlanta, Georgia
Position Purpose:
The Sr. Analyst - Commercial Credit position is responsible for the processes associated with managing Pro customer's commercial credit lines and maintaining operational execution of the Pro Trade Credit Program. Consistent, sound, and timely processing of large judgmental underwriting of customers and the management related to the receivables of these customers is critical to success in this role. The ability to analyze and solve complex problems associated with information related to customer, sales, and organizational needs is necessary to ensure accurate service levels are met while simultaneously meeting the financial goals of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
30% - Collections Management - Develop and maintain accurate collection status records for all accounts. Recommend when accounts should be placed with outside agencies or attorneys for collection. Resolve customer discrepancies or disputes and effect collection of delinquent accounts. Recommend plans of action to resolve collection accounts and ensure timely & accurate processing of payments.
15% - Credit Underwriting - Perform judgmental underwriting for large commercial customers credit needs in a timely, secure, sound, and consistent manner.
25% - Customer Service - Directly communicate with customers and internal sales associates or leadership related to credit & collection matters.
30% - Manage Credit - Manage receivables & mitigate potential losses through sound credit management strategies & execution.

This Position typically reports to Senior Manager or Manager, Credit Services.

Travel Requirements:
- Typically requires overnight travel less than 5% of the time.
Physical Requirements:
- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions, there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Working Conditions:
- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Working knowledge of presentation software (e.g., Microsoft PowerPoint)
Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work effectively with cross-functional teams
Ability to draw accurate conclusions from financial documentation
Ability to negotiate, handle complaints, settle disputes, and resolve grievances with both internal and external customers
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Consumer & Commercial Credit underwriting experience preferred, but not required
Experience in Credit Risk Management or related field
Strong analytical skills with experience transforming data into actionable information. Exhibited ability to work independently.
General knowledge of retail business, financial services industry, economy, and business trends.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:
Manage and respond to requests for credit, processing applications using financial documents to analyze credit
Ensures adherence to Credit policy, guidelines, and regulatory requirements
Very strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Sound decision-making skills.
Track record of successfully managing multiple, simultaneous projects.
Demonstrated excellence at project management for small-to-medium projects.
Able to strategically analyze business problems and opportunities. Exhibited ability to work independently.
