Discover Your Career at Emory University

Emory University is a leading research university that fosters excellence and attracts world-class talent to innovate today and prepare leaders for the future. We welcome candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of our academic community.

Description

The Rural Engagement and Access for Child Mental Health (REACH) Program, housed within the Emory Child and Adolescent Mood Program (CAMP) in the Department of Psychiatry at Emory School of Medicine, is seeking qualified candidates for a one to two-year position on a foundation-funded grant. The position will involve direct clinical care with youth, as well as opportunities for program development and community outreach projects.

The social worker will receive advanced training and supervision in the delivery of evidence-based treatment for youth anxiety and depression (i.e., CBT, BA, ACT, ERP). Their time will be dedicated to working on a foundation-funded grant to build and test brief evidence-based and culturally responsive interventions for rural youth. The goal of this grant is to develop a scalable model of care that can be expanded across the state. In addition to providing direct clinical care, the social worker will gain experience in developing and piloting intervention manuals, collaborating with community stakeholders, and designing dissemination materials.

Program development and outreach projects will include opportunities for community and school outreach, building out program materials, and providing training to a lay community member. Additional research opportunities are available if desired. A strong interest in working with underrepresented populations and developing scalable models of mental care is highly preferred.

Candidates must have an MSW degree from an accredited program. Candidates working towards LCSW licensure can receive supervised hours in this position. However, please note since a Clinical Psychologist will be providing supervision, you will only be able to accrue 50% of your required supervision hours from this position.

Interested candidates should submit a resume and statement of interest.

Start date is August 1, 2024 but there are opportunities to begin sooner.
