Your Opportunity
Stantec is seeking a creative and motivated professional with transportation planning and project management experience to support our Multimodal Transportation Team in the Southeast region. The selected candidate(s) will
Manage current planning projects
Perform comprehensive planning services for public transportation systems
Lead pursuit opportunities and build client relations
Develop a multimodal planning staff
The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, with a background in multimodal planning, transit planning, or complete streets. Candidate will manage project scope, schedule, and deliverables; provide compliant and technically sound strategies; coach and mentor resources effectively; implement and sound quality control process; facilitate stakeholder and engagement process and effectively represent Stantec at client meetings and public events.
Your Key Responsibilities
Manage current planning projects in Georgia
Work collaboratively with Multimodal Planning Group teammates and consultant partners
Lead the preparation of planning proposals and other transportation-related marketing efforts
Perform due diligence and research on projects as required to provide the background information to start a new project
Recognize when technical problems are developing and initiate appropriate corrective actions
Coordinate with others to ensure quality assurance and control (QA/QC) for all project deliverables
Perform other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned
Qualifications
Your Capabilities and Credentials
Strong oral and written communication skills a must
Self-motivated and highly organized
Comprehensive approach to challenges and problem-solving
Experience managing multiple transportation projects, and maintaining an organized project file environment
Effective in building and maintaining client relationships
Strong research skills and open to feedback
Ability to solve complex problems using sound professional judgment, creativity, and innovation
Proficient in Microsoft (MS) Office Suite
Working knowledge and experience using ArcGIS software platforms is preferred
Working knowledge or experience with Adobe Creative Suite software such as Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator is preferred
Adaptive to new software programs and web platforms (continual learner)
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Planning, Engineering, Environmental or related field. Prefer AICP, GISP, or PE registration/certification. Minimum of 7 years experience.
Typical office environment working with computers. Must work in the office a minimum of 3 days/week. Some travel may be required, such as attending or facilitating public meetings, project coordination meetings with agencies or clients, or assistance with out of state projects. May occasionally visit study areas and/or be exposed to outside elements and inclement weather conditions.
