Responsible for developing and maintaining the technical IT / cyber security capabilities necessary for safeguarding the firm's information systems and applications (software development lifecycle. As a Principal CyberSecurity Engineer, lead and mentor junior engineers, manage product feature development and backlogs, and create rapport with stakeholders while ensuring security automation is implemented effectively. Be a Subject Matter Expert and innovative thought leader in Security Automation, DevSecOps, SDLC, and Cyber Security response, bring fresh insight and sound development practices to the SOAR Development Team. Design, plan, test and implement phases of cybersecurity technology projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and drive the development, maintenance, and delivery of new Security Orchestration and Automation content including custom RESTful API integrations, SOAR Playbooks, Automations/Scripts, Jobs, dashboards, reports, widgets, and code via Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery pipelines adhering to an Agile development practice

  • Mentor junior engineers and lead the team in the technical IT/cyber capabilities including all phases of the software development lifecycle and software stack which includes threat modeling of application designs, static application security testing (SAST), software composition analysis (SCA), dynamic application security testing (DAST), and penetration testing.

  • Oversee efforts related to designing, planning, enhancing, and testing all cybersecurity technologies used throughout the enterprise including base-lining current systems, trend analysis, and capacity planning as required for future systems requirements and new technologies.

  • Lead the implementation of new information security technologies or integration of existing technologies including initial configuration, installation, change management, and operational handoff.

  • Use sophisticated analytical thought through models, testing, and experience to exercise judgment and identify innovative solutions.

  • Be the point of contact for technical support of information security technologies providing expert problem analysis and resolution in a timely manner.

  • Manage and lead teams or projects with substantial resource requirements, risk, and complexity, while creating and maintaining rapport with stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of experience in systems engineering or an equivalent combination of education and work experience

  2. Strong functional and technical knowledge of information/cyber security capabilities with deep expertise in one or more of the following areas: Encryption, Data Security, Application Security, End Point Security, Identity and Access Management, Windows/Unix/Linux Systems Security, Mainframe Security, Perimeter Security, Network Security, Mobility Security, Cloud Security, Cyber Security, Cryptography, or Authentication Systems

  3. Strong understanding of service lifecycle management, strategic planning, and the cyber security landscape CISSP Certification

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Significant experience in leading teams and mentoring junior cybersecurity engineers

  • Expertise in leading feature development and managing backlogs

  • Experience creating and maintaining rapport with stakeholders while advancing cybersecurity goals

  • Designing and documenting process workflows and processes

  • No-Code/Low-Code Security Orchestration and Automated Response (SOAR) tool (Swimlane, Splunk SOAR, Siemplify, Google Chronicle)

  • Advanced Python development experience

  • Test automation experience

  • Palo Alto XSOAR Platform Expertise

  • API development experience

  • Master’s degree or MBA and ten years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

  • Banking or financial services experience.

  • Docker, Kubernetes, containerization pipeline and deployment experience

  • Additional security certifications (e.g. CCNA Security, GSEC, GCED, GPPA, etc.)

  • Additional technical Certifications (e.g. CCNA, RHCE, MCSE, etc.)
