Robert Half Human Resources (HR) Manager ( Legal Industry Preferred) in Atlanta, Georgia

Description

The HR Manager will play a crucial role in shaping the employee experience and fostering a positive work environment in a local Atlanta Law Firm. This role involves managing all aspects of human resources, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and HR strategy development. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of HR best practices, strong leadership skills, and the ability to align HR initiatives with the firm's strategic goals. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of HR experience within a professional services or legal office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment and Staffing:

  • Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top legal talent.

  • Manage the full recruitment cycle, including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, and selection.

  • Collaborate with department heads to understand staffing needs and develop job descriptions.

  • Employee Relations:

  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment.

  • Address employee concerns and resolve conflicts promptly and professionally.

  • Conduct exit interviews and analyze feedback for continuous improvement.

  • Performance Management:

  • Oversee the performance appraisal process, ensuring timely and constructive feedback.

  • Develop and implement performance improvement plans.

  • Provide coaching and support to managers on performance management issues.

  • Training and Development:

  • Identify training needs and coordinate professional development programs.

  • Implement initiatives to promote continuous learning and career growth.

  • Monitor the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary adjustments.

  • Compliance and Policy Management:

  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.

  • Develop, update, and enforce HR policies and procedures.

  • Maintain employee records and HR documentation in accordance with legal requirements.

  • HR Strategy and Planning:

  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the firm's goals.

  • Analyze HR metrics and provide insights to support decision-making.

  • Lead HR projects and initiatives to enhance organizational effectiveness.

  • Compensation and Benefits:

  • Oversee the administration of compensation and benefits programs.

  • Conduct market analysis to ensure competitive and equitable compensation.

  • Manage employee benefits enrollment and address related inquiries.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).

  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification is a plus.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR management, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment.

    Requirements • Proven experience in Human Resources Management or a similar role

• Proficiency in ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now

• Familiarity with ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode and Ceridian

• Hands-on experience with HRMS and About Time software

• Demonstrable knowledge of Benefit Functions and Compensation Administration

• Strong understanding of Compliance and Employee Relations

• Experience in Human Resources (HR) Administration

• Proficiency in Onboarding process management

• Understanding of Corporate Legal procedures and Employment Law - Employee regulations

• Experience in Benefits Administration

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities

• Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.
