Microsoft Corporation Generative AI NLP Data Engineer II in Atlanta, Georgia
The Azure Core team is building an Azure copilot that makes it easy for both first party Microsoft teams and third-party customers to securely and effectively govern Azure Resources.
As a Generative AI NLP Data Engineer II, you will be building training pipelines for Large-Language Models to power conversational AI experiences that can draw inferences from vast datasets, both structured and unstructured, collaborating in agile teams with the goal of building self-learning systems that learn from the ever-changing real-world data. Responsibilities
Perform software development in Python, C#, SQL, and other languages as needed to build data-engineering pipelines
Supports identification of dependencies, and the development of design documents for a product feature with oversight.
With guidance, learns to create and implement code for a product, service, or feature reusing code as applicable.
Assists and learns about breaking down work items into tasks and provides estimation.
Reviews current developments and proactively seeks new knowledge that will improve the availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance of products while also driving consistency in monitoring and operations at scale.
Apply good coding standards and patterns.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Math, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering , or related field AND 2+ years experience in business analytics, data science, software development, data modeling or data engineering work
OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Math, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field AND 1+ year(s) experience in business analytics, data science, software development, or data engineering work
OR equivalent experience.
Experience with Large Language Model Orchestration frameworks like SemanticKernel and LangChain
Experience with Azure Cloud
Experience with Web Scraping frameworks
Other Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, JavaScript or TypeScript
OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, JavaScript or TypeScript
OR equivalent experience.
Data Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,300 - $182,600 per year.
There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $120,900 - $198,600 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
