TEKsystems Data Analyst in Atlanta, Georgia
Description:
Expert level experience with SQL and Google BigQuery for this role. They are looking for someone who can help detail out requirements, conduct data mapping exercises and generally do data analysis across a wide variety of Supply Chain related data. Currently the internal product team is responsible for taking the specs from the business and building the stories for this engineering team to execute on. Unfortunately sometimes they are not getting accurate specs on the effort that is required to deliver the work so this team would like to insert a Data Analyst to work closely with the product team to evaluate the work that is being requested for the engineering team, to ensure that the estimates are accurate. This team is finding that the engineers are having to do analysis work now prior to executing on the work and would like the engineers to focus on their core expertise. Looking for someone with 10- 15+ years of overall IT experience with strong SQL, Google BigQuery experience. Highly preferred that the consultant has experience supporting Supply Chain organizations. GCP certifications are preferred. Git Hub exp is highly preferred. Similar Source Control Management tools would suffice. Jenkins exp is a plus. This role will not be building reports. Focus is on working with product team to do analysis on supply chain projects that Supply Chain EDW team needs to deliver, as well as will jump in and help on other work that comes up for the team. Examples- 1. Sift through meta data in Big Query- to do assessment work. Look what tables are being used and ensure IT is providing required support. 2. Within Git Hub, could be looking at existing SQL Scripts- with changes coming, what are impacts coming to existing sql code. Ideally would like this person to sit on East Coast or central time zone. Have daily meetings at 9 am that this person will be a part of and will work closely with engineering team, who is primarily east coast based.
