ABOUT THIS POSITION

The Boarding Specialist will be responsible for contributing to the maintenance of key operational payment processing workflows related to internal teams and vendors, perform routine risk management activities, complete underwriting of new clients, and configuring merchant accounts created for credit card payments into necessary processing systems.

As a Boarding Specialist, you will be responsible for correctly and efficiently gathering all documents to complete underwriting for our new customers. You will be serving as a guide for our Professional Services team on best practices to make sure that the merchants get onboarded most efficiently. This role will be the intersecting point of imperative merchant information, holding the key to a smooth and pleasant onboarding experience for new and existing customers.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Complete underwriting for any and all new clients to create new merchant accounts

  • Identify any potential risk factors during Underwriter and/or perform Enhanced Underwriting as needed

  • Ensure the successful and accurate boarding of merchant accounts onto the various key payment vectors using vendor software platforms

  • Build and maintain relationship with key points of contact with various processors and vendors

  • In-house subject matter expert on payment facilitator merchant underwriting / “Know Your Customer” (KYC)

  • Support implementation calls with Professional Services team members to guide new clients through the merchant onboarding process

  • Keep the department leader apprised of any escalations needed during boarding, hold-ups on account approvals, and status of assigned work

  • Complete all testing and troubleshooting on merchant connections prior to new client go-lives

  • Assign all merchant accounts to appropriate Patientco software environments in preparation for go-lives

  • Create payment facilitator merchant risk profile and conduct periodic reviews to update profiles as needed

  • Responsible for creating knowledge articles/content and troubleshooting guides for internal teams for new operational workflows and training teams on appropriate paths for escalation

  • Document and prioritize product requests for both partner operations and internal tooling

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

The requirements for the position are as follows:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required or equivalent work experience

  • 3+ years of work experience with a preference of 1 year in a relationship/project management in an operational focused role

  • Excellent verbal communication skills

  • Experience with project management
