Job Summary: This position will require performing routine operations and may require shift work and ability to work overtime when needed. The Quality Review Clerk performs a variety of manual/administrative tasks associated with inventory control, kitting, auditing, shipping, receiving, and dispositioning nonconforming material in accordance with established procedures.

This is an Alternate Work Week (AWW) Shift position: Friday - Sunday 6:00 am - 6:30 pm

Employees must be in a position for 12 months before posting to other positions.

Relocation assistance is not offered and will not be considered.

Job Summary: Detail inspection stamp and final inspection stamp required at the conclusion of training. The inspector will work in the MRB-Quality Clinic area to perform QN inductions and to inspect customer returns material.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work from applicable written inspection procedures, drawings, and other pertinent instructions to plan and perform dimensional and visual inspection on parts, tools, gages and other equipment

  • Accept material or refer for rework or quality review based on findings

  • Use a variety of fixed and variable measuring instruments including automated measuring machines where program instructions are well defined to check dimensions and record results

  • Perform necessary problem solving to determine extent of nonconformance and complete documentation

  • Follow proper procedures to perform in-line checks and verification of dimensions and make sure that process steps are being followed

  • Perform induction process for nonconforming material entering the MRB-Quality Clinic

  • Maintains current knowledge of and complies with customer/Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)/Joint Aviation Administration (JAA) technical data as applicable to the work assigned.

  • Train other personnel as necessary

  • Provide technical support and maintain a strong working relationship with the Inspection team

  • Demonstrate and maintain effective leadership skills. Exhibits consistent skill and positive attitude towards their job while demonstrating the highest degree of quality and productivity.

  • Responsibilities are not limited to the listed items above and can be changed or modified based on skill level, proficiency, and overall performance.

  • Walk and stand for long periods of time, conduct physical activities such as bending, reaching, pulling, pushing

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience working a Quality or related technical role within a manufacturing/ production facility

  • Familiarity with plant tools, equipment, blueprints and inspection gauges

  • High School Diploma / GED or equivalent

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Solid understanding of conventional Quality related inspection, NDT, CMM, calibration and other machine shop inspection process and procedures

  • Experience in Quality Management Systems and user of MRP/ERP/SAP systems used in production control, planning, manufacturing execution, clinic and MRB.

  • Understanding of Aerospace Quality requirements

  • Understanding and comprehension of engineering technical data, such as manufacturing or part drawings

  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, planning, problem solving, organizational, and decision-making skills

  • Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations regulatory requirements or work experience with government regulatory agencies

  • Knowledge of aerospace quality standards including AS9100, AS9102, & ISO

  • Experience with MS PowerPoint, Excel, and Word

  • Demonstrated ability to interface with all levels of management, external customers, and government agencies
