Job Title : Veterinary Surgeon
Salary : Up to £65,000 (depending on experience) plus £5000 welcome bonus (direct applications) and relocation package
Location : Woodward Vets, Leicestershire
Job Type : Permanent, Full-time, part-time applicants welcomed.
Hours : 40 hours per week over 4 or 5 days, 1:6 Saturday (8.30am – 4.30pm) no OOH.
Are you a surgical bias Veterinary Surgeon looking to join an enthusiastic and fun team with high clinical standards?
Due to our continued success, we are looking to welcome an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join our Ashby de la Zouch practice.
Your role and responsibilities
Your role at Woodward Vets will be an exciting and varied one. You will have a mixture of in-patient care time, surgery, and consultations each day and you will have the opportunity for case continuity and to build great rapport with our lovely clients.
The ideal candidate for the role will be confident with all aspects of primary care practice and be keen to develop your career. We are keen to support specific interests especially if you are working towards or currently hold a certificate relevant to small animal primary care practice.
You will be warmly welcomed into our team and will be joining a group of veterinary professionals who all work hard, enjoy a laugh and support each other daily. We genuinely enjoy our working days together and sometimes attend socialising events. Along with an enthusiastic and fun team with high clinical standards, our aim is to provide the best possible medical and surgical veterinary care for our patients in a pleasant, friendly environment.

About us
Here at Woodward Veterinary Practice, we have an outstanding, purpose-built, modern practice. We are well equipped with a brand-new X-ray machine, brand-new ultrasound machine, an extensive in-house lab, ECG, Dental x-ray and more. We are a progressive site and are proud to have been awarded gold - ISFM cat-friendly clinic, and dog-friendly clinic and recently achieved our RCVS PSS, and IIE accreditation.
We have a dedicated team of Vets and Nurses who are supported by a fantastic front-of-house team. In our vet team, we have a surgery certificate holder, and 2 other vets working towards certificates in surgery and ophthalmology. We welcome all professional interests and are keen to support certificates.
Woodward Veterinary Practice has a large client base throughout the whole of Northwest Leicestershire. We are lucky to be based in Ashby de la Zouch which is a picturesque market town surrounded by lots of countryside and is in a fantastic location with lots of local cities, within easy reach. East Midlands Airport is also just a 15-minute drive away.
