SUMMARY: The Senior Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for troubleshooting and intermediate repair of apartments and public areas through responsive, accurate, and efficient maintenance. This position will assist in training departmental staff on the proper techniques/principles of facilities maintenance. The Senior Maintenance Mechanic will serve as a technical resource to all staff members and will be responsible for the overall condition of the community. The senior maintenance mechanic will have a working knowledge of residential building maintenance, including, but not limited to, plumbing, electrical, flooring, and appliances.

How you will make an impact:

  • Perform all necessary scheduled preventive maintenance procedures on designated equipment while following manufacturer’s recommendation.

  • Respond to emergency calls for system and equipment failure.

  • Serve as the lead mechanic in assigned area(s) and will be responsible for the overall condition of the neighborhood(s).

What you will need:

  • High School or GED.

  • Must possess a working knowledge of residential building maintenance to include, but not limited to, plumbing, electrical, flooring, and appliances. and have working knowledge of HVAC.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a residential apartment complex, construction, or commercial building maintenance

  • Must possess current Universal EPA or CFC certification to handle refrigerants.

  • Will be expected to work a reasonable amount of scheduled and “on-call” overtime as necessary.
