Insight Global Lead Systems Engineer in Ashburn, Virginia
Job Description
A client of Insight Global is looking for a Lead Systems Engineer to join their team in Ashburn, VA. The engineer will lead the execution of rapid learning cycles in requirements development, design, build, integration & test and verification & validation in a design-to-cost and design-for-manufacturability environment. The Lead Engineer will oversee a cross functional team of 5 people handling integration of the engine. The position will be 60% hands on technical and 40% management.

Skills and Requirements
6years of experience as a systems engineer
testing with Matlab (can work with labview if really strong with it), mix of preexisting scripts and opportunities to develop new scripts
Hands on experience being involved in system integration, engineering testing, and system performance characterization
-leadership experience (task lead or small project lead)
-self starter, ill defined structure and requirements, ability to juggle multiple priorities
-ability to obtain a clearance, preferably have an active clearance (can hold up to a Top secret)
-Experience with gas turbine propulsion experience (or aerospace degree)- dont need design experience just knowledge on how they work (not space propulsion, needs to be aircraft propulsion) -Experience with hardware null
