Robert Half Bookkeeper in Ash Grove, Missouri
Description We are in search of a Bookkeeper to be part of our team in Ash Grove, Missouri. As a Bookkeeper, you'll be handling a variety of tasks ranging from managing customer accounts to ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes. This role provides an opportunity for long term contract employment.
Responsibilities
• Oversee the full-cycle of Accounts Payable (A/P), which includes processing invoices, making payments to vendors, and resolving any discrepancies.
• Undertake Accounts Receivable (A/R) tasks such as billing, collections, and account reconciliation.
• Utilize QuickBooks to maintain and update financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Conduct bank and account reconciliations to monitor the company's financial health and resolve any discrepancies.
• Assist in the generation of financial reports including general ledger updates and trial balances.
• Carry out periodic audits to verify transactions and ensure proper classification of expenses and revenues.
• Use Excel for financial analysis, employing advanced functions like pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and custom formulas.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely flow of financial data.
• Aid management with budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc financial analysis as necessary.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures as well as federal and state regulations. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is required
• Must have experience with Accounts Payable (AP)
• Knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR) is essential
• Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations
• Solid understanding of Bookkeeping principles
• Excellent Data Entry skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is necessary
• Must have experience with Month End Close procedures
• Payroll management skills are essential
• Proficiency in QuickBooks is required
