About Us: FDG Web is a digital agency specializing in web design, development, and custom application solutions for mid-sized and enterprise-level businesses. We're a close-knit team that prioritizes delivering the highest quality service to our clients.

We are expanding our sales team and are looking for a Business Development Manager to connect with potential clients, generate qualified leads, and build strong relationships with businesses in the Pacific Northwest.

This role is remote, but candidates must be based in Washington State or Oregon to ensure strong market knowledge and potential for in-person networking when needed.

Job Description: As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for proactively identifying, engaging, and nurturing relationships with decision-makers at mid-market and enterprise businesses. Your focus will be on generating qualified sales opportunities through personalized outreach, networking, and strategic prospecting.

You will report to our Chief Marketing Officer and work closely with the sales and marketing teams to develop targeted outreach campaigns, leveraging tools like LinkedIn, email sequences, and industry events.

This role is ideal for a motivated, relationship-driven sales professional who thrives on building connections and opening doors for high-value partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

Outbound Sales & Lead Generation

  • Identify and research mid-market and enterprise-level businesses that align with FDG Web's ideal client profile.
  • Conduct outreach via LinkedIn, cold emails, and phone calls to engage decision-makers (CMOs, CTOs, IT Directors, Marketing Heads, etc.).
  • Personalize outreach messaging to resonate with industry pain points and business needs.
  • Qualify leads based on budget, authority, need, and timing (BANT).
  • Maintain detailed records of outreach efforts and lead interactions in CRM tools.

Relationship Building & Market Engagement

  • Develop and nurture relationships with key stakeholders through ongoing engagement.
  • Attend networking events, trade shows, and industry conferences (both virtual and in-person) to generate leads.
  • Build credibility and trust with prospective clients by understanding their business challenges and offering relevant insights.
  • Set up introductory meetings and facilitate smooth handoffs to the sales team.
  • Conduct follow-up at various stages of the sales process

Strategic Sales Support

  • Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to refine targeting strategies and outreach campaigns.
  • Provide feedback on messaging and positioning to improve conversion rates.
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify new market opportunities and refine ideal customer profiles.
  • Track and report on KPIs, including outreach effectiveness, conversion rates, and revenue impact.

Required Skills and Experience:

Sales & Business Development

  • 2+ years of experience in B2B sales, outbound prospecting, or business development (preferably in digital services, SaaS, or web development).
  • Strong ability to identify, connect with, and qualify mid-market & enterprise leads.
  • Experience using CRM tools to track outreach and follow-ups.
  • Excellent communication skills -- ability to craft compelling outreach messages and engage prospects in conversation.

Market Knowledge & Networking

Must be based in Washington State or the greater Pacific Northwest with an understanding of regional business landscapes.

Experience networking within professional and industry circles to generate new business.

Familiarity with LinkedIn Sale
