Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a talented Technical Product Manager to be part of the Management, Automation, Storage, and Simulation (MAS) team responsible for driving U.S. Government customer adoption and utilization of MAS2 cloud services in U.S. GovCloud and isolated regions (Amazon Dedicated Cloud). The candidate will facilitate use case exploration and knowledge sharing sessions between customer representatives and commercial product owners, evangelize the benefits of using MAS2 services, drive the integration of MAS2 services into government bids and proposals, provide training materials, and engage business development and capture teams on opportunities.

The Technical Product Manager will increase the knowledge of our service portfolio among our customer-facing partners (Sales, Technical Account Managers, Solution Architects, and ProServe engineers), align services to customer needs, determine gaps in existing solutions, and expedite key functionality creation with development teams. A successful candidate will be a hands-on product manager with an established background in defining platforms and services through the full product lifecycle, working closely with extraordinary engineering talent, have strong technical ability, with great communication skills, and the motivation to achieve results in a dynamic fast paced environment.

This position requires that the candidate selected must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance. The position further requires that, after start, the selected candidate obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph or commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work.

Key job responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and delivering compelling presentations, demos, sample solutions, blogs, and other content and discussions to help drive awareness and adoption of MAS2 cloud services at AWS

  • Identify avenues for potential partnerships and customer opportunities.

  • Collaborating with internal teams to define the product roadmaps, market positioning, community user groups, and other program initiatives.

  • Working closely with the product managers, developers, and engineering, and operations personnel to ensure our products and services the needs of the government community.

  • Demonstrate the viability of each solution through mechanisms like proof-of-concepts and/or prototypes.

  • Craft and develop compelling audience-specific messages and tools (product videos, customer success stories, advanced demos, white papers, presentations, how to guides etc.), training, and related content.

  • Act as a technical liaison between customers, service engineering teams and support providing updates on customer progress and ensuring execution by partners.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of working as a Technical Product Manager experience

  • 3+ years of technical (software development, network development, IT, other related) experience

  • Experience in taking a product from conception & definition phase through engineering design and taking it to market

  • Experience delivering large-scale SaaS, PaaS or LaaS products where you are responsible for the full product lifecycle, from concept through GTM (go to market)

  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or above

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations

  • Experience working within teams delivering software products and features using agile methodologies
