AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

Global Deal Strategy and Programs (GDSP) is responsible for the AWS Private Pricing Program, designed to offer AWS Customers access to commercial benefits in exchange for multi-year spend commitments on some of the largest and most complex opportunities in the world. The GDSP Spending &Transaction Policy (Deal Approvals) team innovates approval policy and process to impact deal velocity while ensuring highest standards for AWS customers and internal stakeholders.

Global Deal Strategy and Programs (GDSP) organization is responsible for the AWS Private Pricing Program, designed to offer AWS Customers access to commercial benefits in exchange for multi-year spend commitments. The GDSP Deal Approvals team drives approval policy and process to ensure that all Private Pricing deals adhere to AWS policy and meet the highest standards for customers and internal stakeholders.

In this first-in-kind role, the Worldwide Business Process Integration and Operations builder will define, execute, and innovate on all AWS Deal Approval process integration goals, programs, communications, and global enablement efforts to scale.

We are seeking a dynamic and hands-on leader with proven experience integrating business processes to include tooling and enablement. In this new role, you will partner with large internal customer segments and stakeholder groups to set the vision, design strategy, and to achieve consensus on shared goals and priorities across the deal approvals landscape. You will influence internal and external cross-functional teams to execute business integration milestones, articulate status updates with senior leadership, successfully enable new and existing teams on new and ongoing process and tooling revisions, while aligning relevant AWS business units with integration goals. This is a high impact builder opportunity with significant visibility.

Key job responsibilities

• Develop the global integration and process roadmap for the GDSP Private Pricing Program and S&TP Approvals (Deal Approvals) for AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services.

• Leverage highly-matrixed organizational experience and advanced business judgement to partner and align and influence business unit stakeholders on the business integration and operations roadmap, as well as future programs.

• Partner and support the GDSP Deal Approvals roadmap and strategy supporting business integration policy, process, tooling, and enablement efforts.

• Collaborate with the Global Approvals Team for onboarding new approvals processes while inspecting ongoing and post transition activities.

• Maintain and uphold Amazon policies, Private Pricing methodologies, established approval guidelines, and best practices.

Basic Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience driving program and change management in a large and complex organization

  • 10+ years of business operations experience (may include finance, legal, contracts, approvals, or other comparable experience), leading process or system integration initiatives.

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting a worldwide operations team

  • Experience supporting a global deal approvals team

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $158,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $262,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
