The Worldwide Grocery Stores (WWGS) FP&A team is dedicated to working closely with business and finance leadership to generate key insight for decision making across Whole Foods Markets, Fresh, Go and new projects. We track and analyze performance, formulate the medium to long term financial and strategic plans, and seek to increase efficiency and profitability by analyzing financial and operational results. We are seeking a Finance Manager to join our Reporting team to support strategic cross-banner reporting initiatives, including internal WWGS month end close deliverables, partnership with core teams, accounting, and WWGS finance to define and build reporting on total Amazon grocery performance, and other standardization efforts. This role supports the senior leadership team within WWGS and will own delivering key month end reports, leading periodic reviews, providing valuable insight for financial reporting/planning, and shaping the future reporting of cross-banner grocery.
This role partners regularly with a broad range of finance and business leaders across our organization, often at some of the most senior levels within the company. The leader must be effective at working through teams across the WW Grocery Stores and WW Amazon Stores organizations to consolidate and articulate the overall drivers of current and future performance as well as providing timely and accurate insight to Amazon senior leadership. The leader will also drive decision making and influence internal systems to best represent performance, impacting the current and future way we report on the business. Excellent analytical and verbal/written communication skills are critical in this role. The successful candidate has demonstrated the following abilities: they are self-starters, analytical, collaborate and influence business/finance partners, support thoughtful decision-making in a rapidly-evolving and ambiguous environment, and think long-term.
Key job responsibilities
Partner across WWGS finance, core, accounting, and tech to coordinate and drive reporting consistency in the grocery space for senior leadership
Support month end close reporting cycles, including evolution and standardization of our P&Ls across banners, channels, and reporting cycle.
Provide valuable insight for financial planning based on current performance.
Support WW Amazon Stores Finance (IPAT) and Corporate FP&A to communicate WW Grocery Stores plans and performance to Amazon's senior leadership and Board of Directors.
Continue developing the team’s vision, establish a positive team culture, and develop top talent.
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
Bachelor's degree
Preferred Qualifications
6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
Knowledge of SQL/ETL
MBA, or CPA

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
