American Heart Association Senior Project Manager, Program Evaluation in Arlington, Texas

The American Heart Association is thrilled to have an outstanding opportunity for a Senior Project Manager, Program Evaluation at our National Center office located in Dallas, TX . This position can be home based.

The Senior Project Manager, Program Evaluation Team is responsible for managing and supporting a broad range of projects and effectively allocating Evaluation Team staff to successfully complete projects. The Senior Project Manager is also responsible for developing team infrastructure, procedures, systems, tools, and templates to allow Program Evaluation staff to focus on core evaluation activities. This is a new role to help our team build systems and processes that support efficiency and growth.

Responsibilities

  • Perform project management duties including initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling, and closing assigned projects as needed and assigned.

  • Establish and maintain project management processes and documentation to ensure project quality on all projects as assigned.

  • Manage scopes of work and budgets for 25-30 funded evaluation projects to ensure successful completion of project deliverables within available budgets.

  • Develop, implement, and manage systems to effectively allocate effort across all projects for 10-15 Evaluation Team members and proactively plan for future projects to ensure that the team has staff or contract personnel available to meet needs.

  • Receive and process requests for evaluation support, collaborating with team leadership to assign projects to the appropriate evaluation team members.

  • Develop evaluation plans and budgets for proposals and funding opportunities.

  • Establish standard operating procedures, systems, tools, and templates to support efficient team processes.

  • Collaborate with the data science team and internal partners to develop and implement core measurements across projects so that our work becomes more efficient, aligned, and collective.

  • Lead the Evaluation Team through the creation and maintenance of knowledge management platforms, norms, and processes to support transparent, efficient, and standardized program evaluation.

  • Develop operating procedures and policies for using the knowledge management platform, including adding to, revising, or removing knowledge assets.

  • Establish trusting, open, motivating, influential relationships with colleagues as a foundation for monitoring, evaluation, and learning.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience.

  • PMP Certification.

  • Five (5) years of experience in project management.

  • Three (3) years of experience in program evaluation or academic coursework in program evaluation.

  • Excellent organizational skills, project management skills, and attention to detail.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and perform well during times of increased workload.

Compensation & Benefits

The expected pay range will be $80,000 to $110,000. Pay is commensurate with experience; geographic differentials to the pay range may apply.
