The Coca-Cola Company Finance Director, Flavor Manufacturing, Apopka in Apopka, Florida

We are seeking a high-performing Director of Finance for Flavor Manufacturing Apopka facility to oversee the financial operations, lead the finance team, and is a critical member of our leadership team. This role will lead the finance team in ensuring but not limited to accurate financial reporting, product costing, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis to support the facility's strategic objectives. This pivotal role requires a forward thinker with an exemplary track record in developing and executing comprehensive business plans and strong analytical skills. The Director of Finance will work closely with the facility's leadership team to drive financial performance and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support the facility's growth and profitability objectives.

  • Collaborate with the facility's leadership team to develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), drive financial performance improvements, and update strategic planning tools such as the PESTEL framework and SWOT analysis to monitor and respond to macro-environmental factors.

  • Oversee the financial operations of the facility, that includes but not limited to financial reports, general accounting, product costing, inventory management, budgeting, and forecasting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable regulations.

  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Provide analytical reviews of actual performance versus business plan. Lead rolling estimates (RE) process, identify risks and opportunities (R&O), and provide actionable insights to senior and executive leadership. Manage reporting to Flavor Manufacturing Group and the FP&A Consolidation team.

  • Provide guidance on the appropriateness of costs and allocation methodologies, based on specific local operations.

  • Ensure proper accounting, analysis, and forecast for cost variances, working closely with the accounting managers.

  • Lead and mentor the finance team to enhance their performance and professional growth. Foster a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard the facility's assets and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

  • Oversee all audit and internal control of the operations.

  • Provide financial analysis and support for capital investment decisions, new product development, and other strategic initiatives.

  • Conduct research on infrequent and/or unusual transactions and implement new accounting standards applicable to operations.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Foster collaboration across various divisions of TCCC supply chain and engage with essential stakeholders.

  • Continuously identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings within the finance function and the broader organization.

  • Utilize Project Management Professional (PMP) skills to lead strategic projects aimed at improving financial processes, standardization, and system optimization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; an MBA or advanced degree is preferred.

  • Professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA, CMA, ACCA) is a plus.

  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership position within a manufacturing environment.

  • Strong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory valuation, and financial reporting in a manufacturing setting.

  • Familiarity with capital accounting processes.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

  • Proficiency in financial software and systems, including ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a high-performing finance team.

  • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies and process optimization.

  • Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and industry best practices related to financial management in a manufacturing environment.

  • Proven experience as a finance leader with a track record of achieving exceptional results in financial strategy planning and execution.

  • Strong analytical skills with a capacity for detailed financial reporting and variance analysis.

  • Experience in accounting research and the application of new accounting standards.

  • Demonstrated skill in project management within a financial context.

  • Proficiency in internal controls management.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and collaboration skills across various functional groups, that includes influencing, listening, teamwork and building value-based relationships.
