Within the Geel logistics and chemical warehouse team, we are recruiting an IN and OUT Logistics Expert (M/F/X) as a crucial member of our warehouse IN and OUT team.
The Geel – Belgium site is the largest chemical production site for small molecule API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients) within the Janssen supply chain. We ensure lifesaving medicines reach the patient, safely, optimality, competitively, always. Beside production of API's, the site has an important launch & grow mission for new pharmaceutical products. What you will be doing:
In this role you will be at the forefront of our daily operations and ensure that all incoming and outbound goods are processed accurately, efficiently and on time. You will be working very close together with the warehouse operations team. We are looking for a dynamic person who can multitask while keeping the oversight and who gets motivated by a fast-paced environment. At the end of every day you will see the direct result of your efforts and you can go home with a phenomenal feeling of happiness. You will have the chance to create a significant impact on the overall efficiency of our team.
What impact you will also have:
Coordinate activities with operations team in the warehouse, always aiming for an optimal service for our (internal) customers. Hands-on approach is required. Processes in your scope:
Loading and Unloading activities in the chemical warehouse
Sampling activities for inbound orders and EAS
Pick and pack of commercial and non-commercial orders
Management of external inventory
Accurately prepare transport and customs documents for inbound and outbound shipments: CMR, Invoices, Packing lists, EX and IM documents, dangerous goods declarations, …
On a daily basis, communicate with (internal) customers, freight forwarders, transportation companies, external warehouses, transportation control tower, Customs Authorities, Chamber of Commerce;
Take ownership of (improvement) projects in your area of responsibility;
Support and back up your colleagues in the team;
Actively support TIER communication process in our area;
Continuously question processes and optimize where possible. You embrace the question ‘Why?’
Qualifications
We would love to hear from you, if you have the following essential requirements:
Experience in logistics (includes internships during education);
Bachelor degree required
Proficient in Dutch and English language, both spoken and written;
Experienced standard Microsoft applications user;
Display a can-do mentality and positive mindset
Preferred:
Knowledge of Dangerous Goods Regulations: ADR – IATA – IMDG and Customs processes Import and Export;
Experience in handling and implementing (improvement) projects;
SAP and/or MES user in previous employment;
Experience with Customs software: Descartes and/or Stream;
Knowledge of healthcare and/or logistics industry / logistics service providers;
Familiar with GXP regulations and LEAN principles.
