The Psychology Program at Bard College invites applications for a two-year, full-time position, with the possibility of renewal, at the rank ofVisiting Assistant Professor inPsychology (https://psychology.bard.edu/) (open area), to begin in Fall 2025. Applicants should demonstrate a commitment to quality, innovative undergraduate liberal arts teaching. Responsibilities will include teaching introductory courses; teaching intermediate and advanced courses in the candidate’s area of specialization; and supervising undergraduate senior projects. Candidates would teach 3 classes per semester.

Candidates should have completed the Ph.D. by time of appointment. The position requires a lively interest in undergraduate teaching at a small liberal arts college and a commitment to scholarship.

Compensation: $71,000-$76,000

This salary range reflects the College’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for the position at the time of the job posting. Salary decisions are dependent on several factors including but not limited to market and organizational considerations, experience, and qualifications of a selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
