Robert Half Staff Accountant in Andover, Massachusetts
Description
Due to recent growth, a good client of mind Construction/Engineering firm located in the Andover area is looking to hire a Staff Accountant to their team supporting Project Managers and Finance. They are looking for candidate who is looking to take on a leadership role within the Finance team down the road. I’ve placed folks here before so can attest to great work/life balance, casual environment, good people to work with every day.
Responsibilities include:
Reconcile GL accounts and bank statements
Month-end close review and reporting
Overhead review, analysis and reporting
Budgeting and forecasting
Year-end audit support
Payroll processing and AP for one of there divisions
Support operations by processing T& M slips, change orders, and billings.
Other special projects including a system upgrade initiative.
The ideal candidate would have a BS Degree in Accounting with 3-5+ years of accounting experience in a construction, or similar, environment. Advanced excel skills, strong written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational and problem-solving skills required. Timberline/Sage experience is a plus. Requirements
BS Degree in Accounting required.
3-5+ years of strong corporate accounting experience – GL, Month end close activities, reconciliations, budgeting and forecasting, AP and Payroll experience.
Construction industry a plus
Sage and Advanced Excel +
Strong communication skills required – great culture here so all about the personality fit
