Position Summary

The Loan Shipper is responsible for delivering completed and accurate loan documents to the designated investor for loan purchase.

The following duties are intended to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities and ARE NOT intended to serve as a comprehensive list of all duties performed by all employees in this classification. Incumbent(s) may not be required to perform all duties listed and may be required to perform additional duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Review final documents for completeness and accuracy. Notify appropriate department or personnel of any file deficiencies and respond to missing documentation requests.
2. Ensure all final documents are properly scanned, stored into the company's database and filed.
3. Compile, organize, ship and track investor requested loan documents.
4. Monitor the status of loans submitted to investors for purchase in order to facilitate the required funding timeframe.
5. Maintain communication with investors from funding through post purchase.
6. Follow applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
7. Comply with company, FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA and industry standard rules and guidelines.
8. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience

• One year of office experience in the mortgage industry.
• Related military education/experience may be used as a substitute for education or work experience.

Knowledge and Communication Skills

• Broad understanding of residential mortgage loans, and familiarity with mortgage loan products.
