ITW Software Engineer in Amsterdam, Netherlands
E2M Technologies BV, an MTS company, is a young company with its main office in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. E2M has a wealth of experience in the design, development and manufacturing of electric motion and control loading systems for a wide variety of applications such as vehicle simulation (aircraft, cars, trains, etc.), entertainment rides, research and development applications and more. E2M products are exported and serviced worldwide from our manufacturing facility in Mijdrecht.
The working atmosphere at E2M is informal, dynamic, and flexible. For the extension of our operations team, E2M is looking for an enthusiastic colleague with a passion for high-tech systems.
You will be part of the small and diverse software team that develops and maintains the embedded real-time controller and various supporting graphical user interface applications. A wide range of technologies are combined when working on software and control development: control systems for machines, industrial communication protocols and sensor and servo technology.
You will be exposed to different technologies which makes your tasks challenging and versatile. Your tasks include:
Design, implement, and test advanced motion control software.
Maintaining and improving the real-time Linux operating system.
Configuring and tuning the control software for a wide range of motion systems.
Translating customer needs into achievable product requirements.
Analyze field data and provide technical assistance to the customer support team.
Improve internal software development processes.
Master’s degree in Control Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
Experience in control theory and kinematics.
Experience with Matlab or Python.
Experience with programming in modern C++ is a plus.
Affinity with mechatronic systems, servo technology and industrial communication protocols.
Fluent in English, both spoken and written
You live in the Netherlands and can commute to the Amsterdam office.
