The Senior Internal Auditor forms part of the business risk and audit function (BR&AF) who provide assurance and recommendations to the Executive Board and the Audit Committee on Randstad Group’s (risk) management, control and governance practices. Therefore the department facilitates in setting governance standards. It provides advice on internal control improvements, it conducts audits, special investigations and assignments worldwide on request of the Executive Board and Audit Committee.

The global function consists of team members operating through hubs spread over 4 continents.

As the Senior Project and Program Auditor you help lead the Business Risk & Audit focus teams and are going to:

  • prepare and perform project quality assurance audits/reviews and act as sparring partner to the business when it comes to approaches/good practices on project/program management

  • provide management with insight and council that helps design and execute projects and programs more effectively/efficiently

  • provide, with other team members, management combined assurance; utilising insights and creating momentum to strengthen the risk-control position relating to execution on projects and programs

  • analyse and report on project/program management maturity within the company in a combined comfort perspective

  • work upon IT and non-IT projects and programs

  • act as a critical friend within the company, supporting the development of an audit universe as an expert on project and program management, as well as organisational change

  • give guidance and/or instructions to junior staff in audit projects

what you will bring

You have a proven track record in project and program management both in the executing projects/programs as well as in the field of project/program quality assurance and auditing.

You have an open view on, and experience with, different types of project management methodologies, from agile to waterfall. With your experience you have a keen eye on opportunities that help management strengthen their projects/programs also allowing for a combination of methodologies to be applied yet ensuring robust and professional project execution.

As a Senior project and program auditor you:

  • have a postgraduate (CISA, RE or equivalent) diploma

  • have a proven expertise relevant project management concepts both theoretically as well in practice

  • have level C1 English (preferably combined with proficiency in one of the following languages: Dutch, Spanish, French, Italian and /or German)

  • are experienced in international stakeholder management & change

  • have a passion for on the job coaching and development

  • are able to report and communicate audit findings at the right tone to make impact and provide recommendations for improvements.
