The Team

This role sits in the Global Brand Marketing structure that defines and executes the marketing strategy and delivers all creative content for Tommy Hilfiger globally. It is made up of Brand Strategy, Product Marketing, Creative Direction and Operations pillars. The Operations pillar is the function which produces and scales all of Tommy Hilfiger’s global brand content (still, video, PDP, design, copy & guidelines). It’s the resourcing and planning backbone of the Global Brand Marketing organization and makes sure the teams are set up for success in executing the TH Global Brand Playbook. Furthermore, it manages all content budgets and is responsible for the systems and processes needed to scale output. It has three core responsibilities:

Oversees and executes ALL content production (with exception of Tier 1 campaigns) with ultimate responsibility for timely project delivery to quality standards and within fiscal budgets.

  1. Executes all content production planning and resourcing functions according to business priorities and ensures briefs and stakeholders are responded to in a timely manner.

  2. Develops and rolls-out of our TH Academy, the vehicle for knowledge retention and internal employee training

The Position

The Senior Director, Operations autonomously leads the whole Operations pillar. Setting production vision and strategy that serves the rest of the department, they manage Producers, Project Managers and Operations Specialists to enable cost-effective content output at both high and low volumes ratios. They are a role-model for the team from a well tenured production & operational background from which they makes fast and difficult decisions as projects and problems unfold. Whilst not in the weeds, the role has deep experience on photography and film sets with an in depth understanding of Executive Production and Post-Production. From this platform, the role then oversees creative operations to help teams run faster and smarter over time and continuously improve. In this position you’re responsible to keep abreast of industry production & innovation trends to make sure TH remains competitive in this field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading the teams that inbound and prioritizing all briefs and content needs

  • Leading the teams that produce all TH campaign and project content across all channels*

  • Ultimate accountability for global content budgets including freelancers and model bookings

  • Oversee all up-front planning and resourcing for creative shoots, copy and design projects

  • Develop reliable internal business network to facilitate strong stakeholder management

  • Accompany manager (S VP, Global Brand Marking ) on executive duties to get first-hand input

  • Ensure all new members of Global TH Marketing org are onboarded and set for success

  • Define need, research, negotiate, procure and implement all external agency partners*

  • Lead project managers to de deployed on ad-hoc business critical tasks

  • People Manage Operations population including full P&D cycles

The Ideal Candidate

  • Business leader of 15+ years’ experience from an Executive Production background.

  • Full people management accountability of teams of 12+ members over the last 10 x years.

  • Deep knowledge of financial reconciliation and budgetary management and optimisation.

  • Proven track record of translating Producer expertise into scalable creative operational process.

  • Epitomizes ‘Growth Mind-Set’ and accepts nothing without independent analysis.

  • Demonstrable emotional intelligence to navigate competing business and stakeholder needs.

  • Comfortable giving and receiving courageous feedback at all levels.

  • Tactful and diplomatic leader able to act with integrity and humility even through busy periods.

  • Acknowledges team hits and misses in equal measure to build trust across the business.

  • Well-versed in creative operations systems and automations as well as financing tools.

  • Exhibits good judgement to act in best interests of team and business at all times.
