Insight Global Reporting Strategist in Amherst, Nova Scotia

Job Description

A large healthcare client's Information Management and Information Technology group is looking for a Reporting Strategist to support development and configuration of reporting capabilities of the integrated OPOR (One Patient, One Record) CIS solutions. This Reporting Strategist will report to the Director, OPOR Technology and Integration. They will support the reporting workstreams activities for the OPOR program. They will provide guidance and expertise to the OPOR Programs leadership team based on their extensive experience with Oracle Health (Cerner Millennium) Reporting tools and capabilities. The Reporting Strategist will foster an excellent relationship between Oracle Health, other vendor partners, and OPOR leadership to ensure timely and smooth project deliverables across Nova Scotia.

The Reporting Strategist performs a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:

 Assist in development of the strategy and processes for future state OPOR reporting tools

 Develop and support the Reporting strategy for OPOR leveraging the OH reporting capabilities and recognizing the CIS-related reporting needs of IWK and NSH operations.

 Develop Reporting Governance and associated processes

 Maintain and foster strong relationship with the OPOR team, vendor and other partners

 Ensure alignment of reporting project activities with the OPOR Integrated Project Plan, including dependencies such as multiple go lives, multiple domains, code updates, etc.

 Leverage the OPOR PMO dashboard to track and share Reporting Strategy status/progress for leadership and other members of the OPOR team during multiple staged go lives.

 Develop required documentation and artefacts for implementation, quality assurance, and traceability

 Support development of change management approach for reporting

 Develop a capacity and skills development plan to support Nova Scotias ongoing ability to leverage the data and reporting tools

 Recommend and support development of Reporting team structure by analyzing current and operational needs of the Program

 Participate in development of custom report development as needed

 Mentor OPOR team members

 Participate in on-site workshops / meetings as needed

Skills and Requirements

-5 to 7 years leadership experience with large scale reporting systems and services in the healthcare sector

-Extensive knowledge and skills in the Oracle Health (Cerner Millennium) Clinical Information System solutions

-Extensive experience in effectively transitioning from legacy systems to a region-wide, integrated Oracle Health (Cerner) reporting solution

-Extensive knowledge in the Oracle Health (Cerner Millennium) reporting solutions (e.g. CCL, Discern, Model Reports, EDW, analytics, etc.)

-Undergraduate degree. Consideration may be given to those with equivalent training and work experience. -Cerner certification an asset.

-Project management experience an asset. null
