Job Summary This role will lead our performance testing efforts. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of API, UI, and SQL as well as performance testing tools and best practices and provide technical leadership to the team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing complex performance tests to ensure optimal performance of our software in addition to generating performance metrics and analyzing results using tools like Splunk and Grafana. You will have demonstrated expertise in building performance frameworks utilizing tools like K6 and JMeter with JavaScript and SQL. What You Will Do * Lead the development and execution of comprehensive performance test strategies * Design, implement, and maintain advanced performance test scripts and scenarios using industry-standard tools * Setup and configure performance environment including test data creation * Execute benchmark, load, and stress tests. Monitor application logs to determine system behavior * Analyze the CPU Utilization, Memory usage, Network usage, Garbage Collection and DB Parameters and DB Reports to verify the performance of the applications * Generate performance graphs, session reports and other related documentation required for validation and analysis. - Publish results and receive appropriate signoff * Analyze and interpret performance test results to identify performance bottlenecks and provide actionable recommendations * Establish and enhance performance monitoring systems to generate and track key performance metrics * Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to optimize system performance based on identified metrics * Create detailed reports and documentation highlighting performance test results, metrics, and improvement strategies * Integrate performance testing into the CI/CD pipeline and advocate for best practices across the development lifecycle Technologies We Use * K6 and JMeter * Go, JavaScript, SQL * Splunk and Grafana Qualifications What You Will Have * Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred * 8+ years of progressive experience in performance testing, emphasizing API and UI testing * Proficiency in industry standard performance testing tools such as K6, Artillery, and JMeter * Well versed in APM tools such as Splunk * Strong understanding and expertise in generating, analyzing, and interpreting performance metrics * Proficiency in JavaScript and SQL. * Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse teams * Ability to thrive in an agile environment, adapting to evolving project requirements Nice to Haves * Certifications related to performance testing tools or methodologies The posted range for this position is$115,000 - $150,000which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role.
