Overview Location: Amarillo, TX
This position is responsible for ensuring that strict quality control standards in asphalt and aggregates are met according to contract requirements.
Roles and Responsibilities * Reads and interprets contract requirements for aggregate specifications. * Safely collects samples and performs tests on material to ensure that all specifications are met. * Familiar with and able to use all equipment in a quarry lab. * Ensures that all environmental standards are met. * Ability to multi-task and establish priorities * Ability to maintain flexible attitude and approach towards assignments and successfully operate under ambiguous guidelines * Ability to operate lab equipment and PC workstation. * Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments. * Willing to Travel * Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Education and/or Experience * High school diploma or general education degree (GED). * At least 2 years experience in a Hot Mix Asphalt or Quarry Lab environment. * Level 1B Certification is strongly preferred, but not required. * Get Hired
