This job order is for a temporary/seasonal position in: (Altus, Ok.)

Title: Farmworkers and Laborers, Crop, Nursery, and Greenhouse

Dates of Contract: 03/15/2025-01/01/2026

Schedule: Monday-Saturday 7:00am-4:00am 8 hrs per day.

Duties: Worker will be required to perform a variety of duties found in SOC Code 45-2092 Farmworkers and Laborers, Crop, Nursery, and Greenhouse such as: Record information about crops such as pesticide use, yields, or costs; Direct and monitor work during planting and harvesting of crops; Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops; Repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; Set up, repair, maintain, and operate center pivot and furrow irrigation equipment in extreme temperatures; Inform farm managers of crop progress; Identify plants, pests, and weeds to determine the selection and application of pesticides and fertilizers; Operate tractors, tractordrawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery (much of which is equipped with GPS) such as cotton picker, module builder, boll buggy to plow, harrow and fertilize soil, or to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest crops such as wheat, cotton; Load inputs and drive trucks to transport to employer s fields, load employer s crops and drive trucks to transport to fields and storage facilities such as elevators, bins, silos, piles/bags in close proximity to the farm; Clean work areas and maintain grounds and landscaping; Regulate conditions; Feel plants' leaves and note their coloring to detect the presence of insects or disease; Maintain inventory; Haul and spread topsoil, fertilizer, and other materials to condition soil; Repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures; Build agricultural structures; Mix materials, dump solutions or seeds into planter or

Requirements: Three (3) months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.

Pay: $15.79

-FLSA exempt: no overtime paid
