About the Team:

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Mobile Software Engineer to join our dynamic myATT team and in designing/delivering AT&T's Flagship app. The myAT&T application is a versatile and user-friendly mobile app designed to provide AT&T customers with a centralized platform for managing their accounts, services and network. This entry-level position is ideal for someone with a foundational knowledge of mobile application development and a keen interest in building engaging, high-performance applications for iOS and Android platforms. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to learn from experienced engineers, contribute to real projects, and develop skills across a range of technologies and methodologies.

About the Job:

This career step requires career level experience. Responsible for the overall delivery process of a software application or service, including design, development, testing, deployment, production application support (e.g., troubleshooting) and maintenance with a focus on automation.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate to gather and review software requirements/user stories, provide estimates, create software design specifications and collaborate with engineers/architects to assess and test hardware and software interactions.

  • Execute a specific development methodology through application of various programming languages.

  • Create and execute automated test plans/strategies utilizing business requirements and collaborate with engineers/architects, clients, etc. to validate test environments, test data and test results, design and implement code fixes, validate outcomes against expected results and produce associated reporting.

  • In addition to Unit Test, responsibilities may include dynamic application security testing, interface testing, integration testing, end-to-end testing and/or user acceptance testing.

  • Supports applications and solves configuration and environment issues.

  • Supports the software deployment process.

Technical professional with some experience. Sound technical knowledge growing through application, expanding knowledge of ATT technologies.

Education

Preferred Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Science, Electrical Engineering, or Math; Developer nanodegree; or equivalent experience.

Required Experience:

  • Typically requires 2-3 years experience.

  • Requires 2-3 years of Full Stack software development experience.

  • React Native, Node.JS, Redux, NPM, Java, NestJS, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Typescript, Postman, Objective-C, Swift, Kotlin, Git.

  • Familiarity with native build tools such as Xcode, Gradle, Android Studio, IntelliJ.

  • Software development methodologies like Agile/Scrum.

  • Familiar with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

  • Understand UI (User Interface) and UX (User Experience) design to create intuitive and user-friendly app interfaces.

Our Sr Specialist Software Engineering earns between $105,600 - $158,400 USD Annual, Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
