The Vendor Master Data (VMD) Technician supports the North America business and works closely with counterparts in South America, Europe and Asia to ensure data is created, maintained and amended timely and accurately in the SAP ERP tool in compliance with global data standards and internal controls. VMD Technicians are expected to have a fundamental understanding of SAP specifically related to vendor data and the transactions the data enables and will have responsibility to manage a significant number of VMD data elements including (Vendor name, address, banking details, payment terms, INCO terms, tax identification and e-connectivity ). The incumbent has a key role in protecting sensitive company and vendor data and is required to ensure compliance to process guidelines and controls for data creation, change and maintenance requests.

Create and maintain vendor master data records in SAP ECC and validate input information to ensure process compliance

Perform tasks in adherence with SOX requirements.

Proactively interact with buyers, sourcing specialists and requisitioners to ensure timely execution of requests and to problem solve issues so that service level agreements are met.

Identify process improvement opportunities to simplify work for the vendor master data team and end users

Collaborate with process owner to execute on improvement ideas

Provide updates to role based & process training content and job aids as needed.

As required, participate in new development projects and execute deployment of changes which impact the SAP vendor master file (eg regulatory changes, new SAP releases, currency changes, tax changes etc.)Qualifications/requirements:

Spanish written and spoken communication skills are a plus

Experienced team player who adapts to change and exhibits strong collaboration skills, reliability, and integrity

Strong computer skills including experience using SAP or other ERP systems, VIM and various productivity tools such as Excel, Outlook and MSWord

Basic knowledge of purchase order and accounts payable processes

Strong analytical & problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Prior experience processing transactions in SAP including those associated with buyer/sourcing, accounts payable or similar roles a plus

High school diploma required

2-3 years SAP Vendor Maintenance or 3-5 years SAP experience preferred
